with ARK
C2020II addresses the need for a more proactive, creative and effective initiative in supporting understanding, integration and participation of diverse communities through:
- Qualitative accredited training will explore identity,
- Discuss, envision, create art work and expressions that empower,
- Share this experience and personal journey through exhibition.
Sessions began on Wednesday 30th May from 6-8pm at North Acton Pavilion with our experienced team. We are building towards an exhibition of work and sharing of stories that will be launched at the North Acton Summer Community Day on Sunday 15th July.
Key dates for the project:
•30th May 2018 – Welcome, Project Intro, Partner presentations, Double Helix exercise, Drawing life stories.
•6th June 2018 – Course content, discussion, Reflection activity, Exploring creative expressions
•13th June 2018 - Course content, discussion, Reflection activity, Exploring creative expressions
•20th June 2018 – Refugee week acknowledged. Course content, discussion, Reflection activity, Exploring creative expressions
•24th June - Calligraphy workshop with visiting Kuwaiti artist at West Ealing Library
•24th June – Cultural Bazaar @ The Pavilion - courtesy of Eman
•27th June 2018 – Art workshop with ARK & partners
•4th July 2018 – Course conclusion & discussion, Complete art, Curate & hang art supported by Hassan
•11th July – Exhibition opening event. C2020 participants & guests event. Presentations & displays shared
•15th July – North Acton Community Day with Samurai Academy, Armenian Street Festival, C2020II & ARTi groups.
•15th September - C2020ii exhibition & North Acton Autumn Community Day.
•22nd September - Accredited Training day at The Pavilion (W3 0JF).
