The W3 Gallery hosted a widely attended and deeply engaging launch event for Ras Obi’s new trilogy Silent Care I, Silent Care II, and Behind the Psychiatric Doors. Supported by W3 Gallery and ARTification, the evening brought together community members from Acton, Ealing, London, and beyond for a warm and reflective celebration of culture, healing, and mental-health dialogue. Co-hosts Tuup and Akuba guided the programme, with Akuba’s performance of the African tale “The Sane Man & The Mad Man” powerfully highlighting themes central to Obi’s work, including cultural interpretations of wellness and institutional definitions of “madness.” Special thanks were extended to Rachel Pepper, ARTification, and W3 Gallery, along with the performers, volunteers, supporters, and guests who made the event a meaningful success.
