ARTification would love to share the news of our Patron's 91st birthday. Thanks to Steve Flynn, our relationship with James Barnor began back in 2002. Buried for decades, he exhibited his photographs for the first time at our 2003 visual arts exhibition in Acton and the rest is history. He is now recognised internationally for his work that spans eras, & genres with his prints treasured in public collections and exhibitions globally. His unique studio portraiture, photojournalism and Black lifestyle photography represent six decades and capture major social and political changes in London and Ghana. James' joy of life and positivity keep him true to his first studio's name: 'Ever Young.' His next exhibition will open (virtually initially) at the Serpentine Gallery in June.
Happy 91st!
