Ealing is canvassing support for its bid to become Borough of Culture 2019. The borough is excited and motivated about the opportunity to celebrate Ealing as a great place to live, work, study and enjoy.
 
Inspired by the UK City and European Capital of Culture Programmes, the competition, launched by the Mayor of London, will enable Ealing to show how the arts and culture will help achieve our ambitions for a prosperous, healthier, safer, cleaner, fairer and accessible borough.
 
The London Borough of Culture will showcase the best of arts and culture in London. Winning the Mayor of London’s competition would bring in well over £1 million of investment to transform the borough’s cultural landscape.
 
Ealing residents are encouraged to show their support for the 2019 bid for Borough of Culture and fill in the short survey . The results will help develop the bid and also our longer term planning for Ealing Arts and Culture Strategy 2018-2023.
 
Our bid will be submitted on 1 December with the winner to be announced February 2018.
